To safeguard this heritage, Moroccan designers are establishing training centers where they teach embroidery and fashion-making, passing on these crafts to new generations of Moroccans. As Morocco seeks UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage recognition for the caftan, the garment continues to embody centuries of artistry, intergenerational knowledge, and cultural pride, bridging tradition with contemporary global style.
